I’m married, a Christian, and passionate about issues of social justice. I live in North Norfolk and have been making photographs professionally for over 12 years. I combine commercial work for business, charity and non-profit clients with self-directed documentary and art projects, which I publish and exhibit. I also practice photography of the natural world around me in a mindful way for my own wellbeing and health. My work has been exhibited in both group and solo shows in the UK as well as having been published in a number of books, magazines and press titles. I have also had editorial work published in the United States by Yale University Press. My clients include Norfolk businesses such as Hayes & Storr Solicitors, Barsham Arms and Moon Gazer Ales, and charities and non-profits as various as the Prince’s Countryside Fund, Turn The Page Artist’s Book Fair and Pandora Project. I have self-published photography zines on the subjects of lockdown in my local town, pilgrimage to Walsingham, and am currently working on three long term projects, The A47 Project, Pink and Walsingham.
Currently working on The A47 Project, a long term project which I think of as “a sort of visual love poem to Norfolk”, I have self published four previous bodies of work in the form of photo zines: Ordinary Devotion, Lockdown Fakenham, Free As A Bird, and Marist Day.
Themes around human resilience and identity form the wellspring of my work.
